The Scientific Program Committee and the organisers of the 22nd Conference on Educational Sciences welcome everyone interested. On behalf of the Hungarian Academy of Sciences and its Scientific Committee on Pedagogy, we invite you to our scientific event, which will be held in Pécs for the second time and has become a highly respected tradition in the field.

The title of the conference:

21st Century Skills, Literacy, Equal Opportunities

The pandemic, besides its many effects, has brought major changes in education all over the world. Which of these effects will be irreversible, is not yet known. At the same time, we were already experiencing trends that in themselves signalled a model and paradigm shift for the future even before COVID-19. It is easy to see that the changed circumstances, the radical, unplanned changes raise questions and pose new challenges for those working in the field of education, too. The main theme of this year’s Conference on Educational Sciences will focus on the above-mentioned global, systemic factors of change, on 21st century skills and their emergence in the education system, on literacy, which is also undergoing significant transformation, and on the concept and importance of equal opportunities.
